Turbo
An energy drink is a non alcoholic beverage used for boosting energy. The main/active ingredients are usually Ginseng, Taurine, Guarana, Caffeine, and Vitamin B. Together they stimulate the nervous system and provide temporary relief from tiredness.
Studies conducted by various universities, like Nova South Eastern University in Florida and the University of Edingburgh, suggest that the caffeine content in energy drinks does boost energy and may be the primary stimulator. While the other ingredients are complementary, in that they improve immunity and aid with stress relief, caffeine is the primary performance enhancer.
“Most of the performance-enhancing effects of energy drinks can be linked to their caffeine content.” ~ Stephanie Ballard, the study leader and assistant professor of pharmacy at the Nova South Eastern University, West Palm Beach, Florida.
a) Ginseng
A herb which is believed to aid resistance to physical, chemical and biological stress; builds energy and general vitality.

c) Caffeine
A chemical found in coffee beans. It acts as a stimulant to the central nervous system.
d) Taurine
An amino acid which acts as a cardiac stimulator.
e) Vitamins
