    SMJ was founded in 1924 in San Fernando Trinidad, by Sheik Mohammed Jaleel

  2. Where is SMJ’s Corporate Headquarters located?

    The company’s headquarters is based at Otaheite Industrial Estate, South Oropouche, Trinidad and Tobago.

  3. How many employees comprise SMJ?

    SMJ is comprised of over 2000 employees in five continents, all of whom participate in regular training.

  4. How do I apply for a job at S.M. Jaleel and Company Limited?

  5. How does SMJ demonstrate a concern for the environment?

  6. What is the SMJ Foundation?

    The “SM Jaleel Foundation” is a charitable venture within the organization which allocates a portion of the company’s net profits, annually, to pre-approved causes.

    The Foundation focuses on education and culture, the alleviation of poverty, and the development of religion.

    It is managed by four trustees, headed by the Chairman of the company, who oversees the distribution of funds.

    This program is limited to Trinidad and Tobago at the moment, but will be extended to other markets in the near future.

    Requests for donations should be made in writing with the following details attached:

    The history of your organization
    The specific cause or project that needs funding
    The project’s goal
    The people involved
    Feasibility of the project
    The project’s budget
    Any additional and supporting documents
